There is a T-handled water shutoff tool in the utility closet in your apartment.
Please use this tool to shut off the water supply at the curb if there is ever a leak or other water supply emergency (since you do not have easy access to the water shutoff valve in the basement).
Garbage Cans
The two garbage cans on the right side as you face the cans are yours. The blue can is for recyclables.
Garbage collection is every Tuesday morning.
Recycling collection is every other Tuesday (Schedule B).
Claremont is named after the former Claremont College that used to be here.
In the past (and maybe present), the Claremont Neighborhood Association (“CNA”) has sponsored events like an annual easter egg hunt at the McComb Park (at the bottom of your street). The city’s neighborhood liaison mentioned on the Claremont neighborhood page may be able to tell you if the CNA is still active.
Tub Cleaning (and No Suction Cup Bathmats!)
The tub in your apartment was refinished professionally. In order to make the refinish last as long as possible, please follow these instructions:
Only clean the tub surfaces with non-abrasive or liquid cleaners. I think “scrubbing bubbles” cleaner is a good one.
Do not use bleach or harsh acids or cleaners that contain these things.
After cleaning, always rinse and wipe the surface dry.
Do NOT use suction cup bathmats. Only use bathmats without suction cups and remove the bathmat after use to let the tub surface dry.
